The following links are to other sources of information on Mitochondrial diseases. They are not maintained by us, and we can not guarantee the accuracy
of any information contained in them. We do feel that they are informative, and
worth a look if you are interested in Mitochondrial disorders.
We are going to keep this list short, since the sites listed contain
extensive link lists, and we don't want to duplicate the efforts that others
have already produced.
- MITOMAP -
Mitochondrial Genome Database
- Deep scientific background on the hows and whys of mito. Biology 101 is
probably a prerequisite for understanding this site.
- Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
- Mitochondrial Myopathies are a subset of MD, and you can usually find new
and exciting information on this website.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Government Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Try searching their
database. All kinds of goodies, and you might be able to find a clinical
trial that might help in one form or another.
- United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation
- Promoting Research and Providing Support
Thank you for visiting us, and we hope to see you again!
